Since graduating from my Masters degree in Computer Science from The University of East Anglia, I have been working as a Software Developer at The Consultus International Group Limited. During my time here, I have been able to work on a variety of projects that have enabled me to develop my skills further. Being able adapt my skill set to produce both internal and external-facing applications for use by clients and the public. I have been able to assist the company in their transition from an on-premises infrastructure, to one hosted in the cloud through Microsoft Azure. This has allowed me to develop a comprehensive understanding of cloud computing; which allowed me to achieve a Microsoft Azure Fundamentals certification.
Following the completion of this course, my knowledge and understanding of Azure as a Cloud platform has increased extensively, allowing me to develop and deploy applications that are scalable, secure, and resilient. I have worked on projects that involve creating and managing virtual machines, storage accounts, and web applications. I have also gained experience in setting up and configuring virtual networks, load balancers, and monitoring services to ensure optimal performance and security. My expertise in cloud computing has enabled me to design and implement cloud-based solutions that meet the needs of the business and its large scale clients.
2020 - 2021
Graduated from The University of East Anglia with a Distinction in Computer Science (MSc) with a focus on Software Engineering and Web Application Development. During this time, I developed a strong foundation in computer science and software engineering principles. I have gained extensive experience in designing and developing web applications using a variety of programming languages and frameworks. I have also worked on several projects that involved creating and managing databases using SQL Server, Postgres, and MySQL. My expertise lies in writing and optimizing queries and stored procedures to ensure optimal performance when interfacing front-end applications through APIs. I am skilled in designing efficient database structures and implementing best practices for data management. With my strong command over SQL languages and database administration, I am well-equipped to handle complex data operations and ensure seamless integration with various applications.
This course also allowed me to begin my knowledge base in cloud computing, specifically with AWS. I have worked extensively with various services such as EC2, S3, and RDS among others. This experience has allowed me to effectively leverage the power of cloud computing to build scalable and resilient applications, ensuring high availability and performance.
My chosen dissertation topic for my Masters degree was Interactive online map of 'Blue Plaques' showing historic sites in Great Yarmouth. This project allowed me to develop a web application using the Django framework, which is a Python-based framework. This project was a great opportunity to learn a new language and framework, as well as develop my skills in front-end development. Further to this, the project sits on a cloud based server, with a PostgresQL database. This project was a fundamental stepping stone to develop my skills in cloud computing, as well as database management and front-end design.

2017 - 2020
Graduated from The University of East Anglia with a 2:1 in Psychology (BSc with Honours), where I developed strong analytical and research skills. These skills have proven to be invaluable in my journey into the field of computer science, as they enable me to approach problem-solving and data analysis with a unique perspective. My background in psychology has provided me with a deep understanding of human behavior and cognition, which I apply to user experience design and creating intuitive interfaces. This interdisciplinary knowledge allows me to bridge the gap between technology and human interaction, resulting in user-centric and impactful software solutions.
My dissertation was titled Perception is Deceptive: An Investigation into the Mediating Effects of Coercion on the Implicit Sense of Agency. Typing that now makes me think I should have made that shorter; what a mouthful. During this paper, I investigated the effects of Intentional Binding and how perception can be altered based on the actions of environmental stimulus.
